What is Paint Protection Film?
Paint protection film also known as PPF or clear bra consists of large sheets of urethane film that are 8 mil in thickness. When applied to your vehicle PPF provides protection from rock chips and scratches leaving your vehicle looking newer longer. The film’s self healing capabilities help to erase light scratches, swirl marks and staining when heat-activated. Designed with UV protection, PPF prevents damage & fading caused by harmful UV rays which in turn helps to increase the vehicle resale value. Known as the most durable form of paint protection, paint protection film is available in both full and partial installs. This means you have the option to protect the entire vehicle or opt to add extra protection to those high traffic areas.
PPF Prep & Installation

However, when taken care of properly, paint protection film can often last longer than the warranty that it comes with. That being said, the PPF installation process is an important factor when it comes to quality and the finished results. The most important step in the entire installation is prep! We cannot stress the importance of the prep process enough! At Auto Film Specialists we utilize a special deionized (DI) water system that includes Iron X removal, a clay bar treatment, foam wash and air dry. This helps to ensure the vehicle is expertly prepped to avoid any flaws or imperfections.
